Potential risk of Harm from failure AND useless, unconcerned customer service from Viski
We purchased this because we thought this was going to be a well made foil cutter for our wine bottles that would last for years. However, it lasted only a few weeks. As seen in my picture, one of the 4 small disc blades fell off of its axel and we thought it was lost. But then we could hear it inside when shaking the cutter gently. We then discovered that the corner where this disc blade was supposed to be was NOT secured and the black portion could be easily lifted to retrieve the disc. This was an accident waiting to happen! What if this sharp disc fell into a glass of wine and was potentially swallowed. Or perhaps, if it fell on the floor, it might be picked up and ingested by a small child or a family pet. And this disc is a "sharpened saucer blade." I reached out directly to Visky because of this issue and was further upset that they had NO Warranty on their products and they were NOT at all concerned about this potential harm risk! I was told to go back to the store where I purchased this foil cutter from to deal with the breakage if I wanted to get a replacement. However, now I was not sure that I wanted to get this exact foil cutter again because of the potential risks it carried.

Looks Nice. Does The Job.
This items works fairly well. I had not used a foil cutter until I tried this one. Important to understand is that this device fits around the very topmost part of the bottle neck. You should be able to close the sides of the device around the top almost completely. Then, while squeezing and twisting it around the top, it neatly cuts the foil off the bottle top, exposing the cork. It didn't come with directions, but I figured it out. For the price, it's an attractive tool that functions as it should. It does require a strong steady grip to perform best.
