Nice Looking But Too Light in the Hand
I ordered these and several other pieces of glassware in the “Raye Angled Crystal” line. I have lead-free crystal from other manufacturers and they have a nice weight in the hand. Unfortunately, everything in the “Raye Angled Crystal” line with the exception of the “heavy base shot glasses” feels more like cheap glass than crystal. I am not sure what type of “crystal” Viski uses, but there is also an unusual chromatic aberration under warm light, the “crystal” appears to have a pink hue under warm yellow/orange light. This chromatic aberration effect only appears to occur under warm LED light, the “crystal” appears colorless (as one would expect under all lighting conditions) in cooler light. I am quite disappointed, but I’ll deal with all of them for now (almost $500 in glassware in total after a substantial initial offer).
