This arrived sooner than expected and the sake set far exceeded my expectations. It is solid and well designed. The obsidian around the bottom adds a unique but understated elegance that I have not seen in other sake sets. The heft, weight and texture are solid. The carafe is a good solid 15oz much more than the typical 8oz sake bottle making suitable for 4 people to have 2 pours or 2 people 4 pours. The only thing I am hesitant to do it put this into a hot water bath which is one of the typical means of heating up sake prior to serving. However this does not in anyway detract from the overall design or character of this magnificent sake set!
