Ingredients: (Serves 1)

  • 2 oz Mezcal (or substitute tequila for a milder version)
  • 1 Β½ oz Fresh pineapple juice
  • ΒΎ oz Fresh lime juice
  • Β½ oz Agave syrup
  • 2-3 jalapeΓ±o slices (adjust for spice level)
  • TajΓ­n or chili salt, for rimming the glass
  • Garnish: Fresh Pineapple slice

DIRECTIONS:

Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass and dip it in TajΓ­n or chili salt for a flavorful edge. Fill the glass with ice.

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the jalapeΓ±o slices with the agave syrup to release their heat.

Add mezcal, pineapple juice, lime juice, and ice to the shaker. Shake for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Strain into the prepared rocks glass over fresh ice.

Top with a pineapple wedge for a tropical finish.
