THE BOTTLEHOUSE OLD FASHIONED
Recipe by Henri Schock of Bottlehouse
A delicious low-ABV libation without the whiskey.
INSTRUCTIONS
In a mixing glass, fill with 5–6 medium ice cubes. Combine Cardamaro and bitters. Stir until chilled and properly diluted (about 30 seconds). Strain into a double old-fashioned glass over a large ice cube. Top with prosecco and garnish with an orange twist and two Luxardo Cherries
Henri's notes: Cardamaro is an amazing wine-based aperitif that blends cardoon and thistles, which then gets aged in oak barrels. The result is a dark caramel and very viscous product, that, when matched with barrel-aged bitters, has a bourbon-like profile. |
